Anzac Day
Anzac is the original name / acrynom given to the Australian and New Zealand Armed Corps during WWI at the now famous landing of troops at Gallipoli , Turkey .
In Australia Anzac day is celebrated nation wide every year on 25 april and it is a day when all branches of Australia’ s military forces join to commemorate the fallen servicemen and women who defended Australia in all wars.

Reunion and remembrance is carried out with many family and friends lining city streets to view the parade and march of the remaining veterans . Many veterans who have died or who are too ill and are unable to march are commemorated by family or friends wearing their service medals.
The day generally starts with a dawn service at the Shrine of Remembrance to honour the dead and the ultimate sacrifice they made followed by a gunfire salute . Once formalities are finished with a campfire breakfast is usually provided , then its
